Who We are
We are mothers, wives, widows, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, step-daughters, and granddaughters of AMVETS and female veterans who are currently serving or who have honorably served in the Armed Forces of the United States, including the National Guard and Reserve components, anytime after September 15, 1940.
What We Do
We serve veterans, their families and communities. We focus on community service and youth development; providing career change, nursing and youth scholarships; assisting hospitalized veterans; sending love and support to active duty military personnel, as well as demonstrating patriotism and civic engagement.
In addition to the organizations within our local communities, the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary programs actively support the Freedom’s Foundation to foster American history and civic engagement; John Tracy Clinic for deaf and hearing-impaired youth ages 18 months to 5 years; Penrickton Center for Blind and Multi-disabled Children from birth to 12 years old; PAWS with a Cause Assistance Dog training for persons with disabilities; St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital; and the Veterans Affairs Volunteer Services programs.
Membership
Membership in AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary is open to the mothers, wives, widows, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, step-daughters, and granddaughters of AMVETS and female veterans who are currently serving or who have honorably served in the Armed Forces of the United States, including the National Guard and Reserve components, anytime after September 15, 1940.
